The film was produced by American International Pictures (The Land That Time Forgot) and Power Productions. The film starred William H. Marshall, Don Mitchell, Pam Grier, Michael Conrad and Bernie Hamilton. It also marked the acting debut of Richard Lawson (Poltergeist). The film was released theatrically in the United States by AIP in June 1973 and received mixed reviews.
