Daybill Poster. See How She Runs is a 1978 American TV movie (but enjoyed a theatrical release outside of the USA) starring Joanne Woodward. The story line is about a 40-year-old divorced school teacher who decides to enter the Boston Marathon. Paul Newman at one stage was going to direct the film. Upon release as a TV production, it was seen by 35 million and Woodward won an Emmy for her performance.
