Trainwreck (2015) Film Review

Well this film review is a little late but that is because i have not stopped laughing since i watched the film at the recent premiere. 'Trainwreck' stars Amy Schumer in her first feature film role but she is well known to audiences on the stand up comedy circuit. Supporting Schumer is Bill Hader whose works have been mostly in TV and voice with some film. What these two stars do have in common in their past is a significant dose of comic experience and this shows in Trainwreck. With a killer script written by Schumer and directed by Judd Apatow (producer of Bridesmaids and director of Knocked Up) you know this film is a winner!

The storyline is simple but effective. Schumer plays 'Amy', a journalist for a men's magazine that is sent on assignment to do a story on a particular sports doctor played by Hader 'Arron'. 'Arron' is the sort of guy that every girl dreams about, well mannered, intelligent, has a good earning capacity and generally all round nice guy. 'Arron' would like to settle down with someone who appreciates these qualities and would like a stable life.'Amy' however coming from a divorced family does not believe in monogamy and her personal life is an illustration of that. When she meets Arron and begins to get attached to him, her demons of relationships and self confidence arise and she realises she must choose between 'Arron' or continuing along with her insecure destructive relationships.

One might say this film has a predictable ending having read this storyline but to get to the ending you have to go thru a lot of painful laughter and believe it when i say,you will enjoy the ride.
