Holes' is the story of Stanley Yelnats, an unusual young hero dogged by bad luck stemming from an ancient family curse. When Stanley is sent to Camp Green Lake for a crime he did not commit, he is in for the adventure of his life. Outlaws, onions, spotted lizards and a cure for smelly feet all find their way into Stanley's world… as he and his campmates dig holes everyday in the baking sun. But there is more to this than meets the eye… Holes provides a focus for developing learning outcomes from levels 4-6 across Key Learning Areas, including English, SOSE, Science, Health and The Arts.
