deconstructs Jane Austen’s ‘Emma’ and Amy Hecklering’s ‘Clueless’ within the
context of the NSW HSC Advanced English Module A Elective 1: Students choose a
pair of texts and consider the ways in which transformations generate
reflections on the texts and contexts, and the ways in which texts can be
transformed. She looks at similarities and differences, making sense from the
written to the spoken word, reading the screen, and ponders transformations and
adaptations.
